  • Beskrivelse: A landowner (the heir to Can Pruna) decides to advertise for a wife. He receives a great deal of interest and numerous potential suitors turn up at the meeting place stated in the advert. Seeing how many women there are the landowner turns and flees and a comic chase ensues as the women pursue him. Despite being an early film, it displays a great deal of modernity and demonstrates Chomón's mastery of the comic genre. The film is inspired by another made in 1904 by Edwin S Porter entitled, 'How a French Nobleman Got a Wife Through the "New York Herald" Personal Columns', which Chomón adapted to the society in Barcelona at that time.
